Important limitations of our service
Audit Results
SiteTest provides automated assessments, not professional security audits, penetration tests, or accessibility certifications. Our audits are performed by AI agents and automated tools that analyze publicly visible aspects of your website.
Audit results may contain false positives (issues flagged that aren't actual problems) and false negatives (real issues that our tools fail to detect). No automated tool can identify every possible issue on a website.
Scores are relative indicators based on automated checks, not absolute measures of quality or compliance. A high score does not guarantee your site is free of issues, and a low score does not necessarily mean your site is non-functional or non-compliant.
Compliance
SiteTest is not a substitute for professional compliance review. Our accessibility checks reference WCAG guidelines but do not constitute a formal WCAG audit or certification. Our security checks are surface-level and do not replace professional security assessments.
You should not rely solely on SiteTest results for compliance with:
- ADA / Section 508: Accessibility law compliance requires expert review and user testing
- WCAG 2.1/2.2: Full conformance requires manual testing beyond automated checks
- GDPR / CCPA: Data privacy compliance involves legal analysis we don't provide
- PCI-DSS: Payment security compliance requires certified assessors
- SOC 2 / ISO 27001: Security certifications require formal audit processes
Always consult qualified professionals for regulatory compliance decisions.
Accuracy & Limitations
Our automated testing has inherent limitations:
- We test a snapshot in time — your site may change after an audit
- Dynamic content, SPAs, and JavaScript-heavy pages may not be fully analyzed
- We cannot test functionality behind authentication we don't have access to
- Performance results may vary based on server load, geographic location, and network conditions
- AI-generated analysis reflects the capabilities and limitations of the underlying models
We continuously improve our testing methods, but no automated tool is a replacement for manual expert review of your website.
Third-Party Sites
SiteTest is not responsible for the content, security, or functionality of websites you submit for auditing. We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for any third-party website.
By submitting a URL for auditing, you confirm that you have the right to test that website. SiteTest is not liable for any consequences arising from auditing a website you do not own or have permission to test.
